Anzo 5.0 Installation and Upgrade Notes

If you are upgrading to a 5.0 version from a previous release, review the following notes for important details about upgrades to Anzo components.

Review License when Upgrading Between Major Versions

If you are upgrading to a new major version of Anzo, such as from 4.x to 5.x, your Anzo license may need to be updated to add the new version. Before upgrading between major versions, contact Cambridge Semantics to review and update your license if necessary.

Required Upgrade of Anzo for Office Mapping Tool

Pre-5.0 versions of Anzo for Office (AFO) are incompatible with Anzo 5.0.7. In Anzo 5.0, the stored license format was changed, and the AFO client was modified to read the new format from the server. If you use a pre-5.0 version of the AFO mapping tool with Anzo Version 5.0.7, an "Invalid license status" message will be displayed. After upgrading to Anzo 5.0.7, upgrade AFO to the latest version included with your installation. Recommended Upgrade of CData JDBC Driver for Anzo

As part of the updates made in Anzo Version 5.0, an improvement was made to the CData JDBC driver. For details about the improvement, see . To take advantage of this change, if you are upgrading to Anzo 5.0.7 from a pre-5.0 version, Cambridge Semantics recommends that you upgrade any existing JDBC drivers with the latest version after installing Anzo 5.0.7. Required Upgrade of Anzo Unstructured Leader and Worker Nodes

Version 5.0.1 changed the Anzo Unstructured (AU) cluster software. If you are upgrading from a pre-5.0.1 version, upgrade the AU worker and leader nodes to the latest version. For instructions on upgrading the AU cluster, see AU Cluster Upgrade Notes in the Anzo Deployment and User Guide.

Required Upgrade of AnzoGraph for Use with Anzo Unstructured

If you use Anzo Unstructured, you must install AnzoGraph Version 2.1.x. For details about the latest release, see AnzoGraph 2.1 Releases.

Required Update of Document Search Lenses

If are upgrading to Anzo Version 5.0.7 from a pre-5.0.1 version and have existing Document Search Lenses in Hi-Res Analytics dashboards, those lenses must be deleted and re-created. For more information, see .

Required Upgrade of AnzoGraph for Use with the Data Toolkit Service

If you use the Anzo Data Toolkit Service to blend data from remote endpoints into graphmarts, you must install AnzoGraph Version 2.1.0 or later.

Upgrade Adds Local File Connection Property

As part of the upgrade process from Version 4.x to 5.x, Anzo adds a new local file connection property to existing local server file connections as well as file connections that resulted from uploads from a computer.
