Creating New Roles in Anzo

This topic provides instructions for creating new roles in Anzo.

  1. In the Anzo console, expand the Administration menu and click System Roles.
  2. On the System Roles screen, click the Roles tab.
  3. On the Roles tab, click the Add Role button. Anzo displays the Add Role dialog box.

  4. Complete the required fields and enter any optional group details:
    • Name: Type a name for the new group.
    • Description: Type an optional description for the group.
    • Permissions: Enter the Anzo features that this role has permission to access. To specify permissions click in the Permissions field and select a feature to add it to the permissions list. Click the field again to add additional features.
    • Search Users/Groups: You can select the Users Only and Groups Only checkboxes to narrow the items available in the search list below the checkboxes. In the search list, click the checkbox next to each user or role that you want to make a member of the new group.
    • Selected Users/Groups: This field displays the list of users or groups that you added to the new role. You can click the X on the user or group to remove it from the list.
  5. Click Save to add the role to the system. Anzo adds the new role to the list of groups on the System Roles screen.
